Winters in Oregon are cold and wet and lush. The trees are like giant mythical beings decked out in velvety green suits of the finest moss, their sinewy arms arching overhead as if waiting to pluck unsuspecting hikers off the trail and into some crazy fairy tale...

This trail is on my way home from work. One of these days I'm going to take the time to explore it, but today is Friday, and my comfy chair and lap cats were calling. (And those trees kinda gave me the willies!)

In the 24 days since I made the resolution to shoot and post a photo a day, I've had a few moments when I doubted I could find something to shoot. I can tell you, that on those days I doubt, I have a very hard time finding a worthy subject. On the other hand, on the days I simply relax and open myself up to the creative force and let things happen, subjects magically appear.
